Before starting any method of cleaning fish, rinse it thoroughly with boiled water. This will make it easier to separate the scales during processing.
Method with a tablespoon
- After rinsing, rinse the fish with cold water and take a tablespoon (or a teaspoon, depending on the size of the fish).
- Start cleaning the fish by pressing the spoon to the side against the scales and moving from the tail to the head.

Method with scissors and thumb

- This method will allow you to remove the scales in large pieces, leaving the body of the fish smooth.
